I've always kept asking myself on this particular question, Is it too early for me to have a Girlfriend?

For several years now, my thoughts were clear about how unfortunate someone would be if they do not have any 'companion' in life. Especially at the age of 15-20. Truthfully ( Not being boastful or anything, I am sure that many will agree) I have never been deprived of 'companions'. Yes, they come and go. But that is besides the point. Have anyone ever wonder? Why do we even tie ourselves into relationships at such a young age?

Some might think that by not having a girlfriend or boyfriend is shameful. Oh well, you people are definitely wrong. Ok, you might think like 'what crap is this guy talking about?', but if you hear me out I am sure it will help you guys lead a better life.

Friends, the word which I am sure everyone has. You might not think so, but don't forget that anyone could be a friend. Even your pet. :D Friends are always nice, no one would call another a friend if they aren't nice right? So you people should know what friends do. They console you when you are down. They do many things together with you. Joke and laugh with you. They are always there to help you. They even buy you great present/s for your birthday. Oh well, I can continue but I am sure everyone get my point. They are simply the best.

But what makes your boyfriend or girlfriend any different. They precisely do the same shit. I find it amusing now that many, including myself thought that by having a girlfriend/bf would put colors to our, oh so dull life. What these people are doing is wasting their youth. Youth only comes once in your life, and you are going to waste it on that one person. C'mon, you guys should be out having fun as friends. Go out with anyone, any genders. All without feeling any affection with each other. You might think that you're gaining by jumping into a relationship when you're actually losing. You just lost yourself a Friend. Don't tell me the crap that you can be friends with your ex, that's totally bullshit.

Many people love somebody just because they wanna be pearls to someone's eyes. Also with love comes affection (you'll know why). But they forget that with love comes great responsibility. Ie, Yes the boys have to treat the lady like a princess. But in all, are they even stable financially at such a young age? Since money makes the world go round. Think about it. If you had given everything to him or her, then what is there to give after you get married? You'll be out of ammo. Nothing could impress him/her anymore. There's always a limit for everyone.

What people should do at this young age is that, make friends. Once you reach a point when your life and career is stable, then you find a GF OR BF whom you're GOING to marry. Think about it, you'll probably marry your friend. At least you guys should keep your options open. I am sure you will find somebody who meets your likings and also share the same interest.

Therefore, I believe that it is too young to have a relationship now. What I can do is to expand my networks. Create more options. Why choose one tree when you have the whole forest to choose from? Haha.
